Description

Kensington Central Library's Lecture Theatre is an affordable lecture hall which can be used for events, conferences, training and more. The space is available Monday to Saturday.

There is enough room to seat 162 people. There is a stage and a podium which are ideal for presenting.

  • Band 1 – Basic - Usually for author talks, book presentations or similar. 

Hourly rate: £90 - This includes the use of PA system, microphone, theatre lights and the foyer area.

 

  • Band 2 – Premium - Usually for illustrated talks or other events where slides/video presentations are involved.

Hourly rate: £120 - This includes all the above plus the use of a large cinema screen and projector.   

 

  • Band 3 -  Movie Screening, with professional cinema equipment.

Flat rate: £800 per screening, plus any costs related to the licence. It also includes all the above. Please contact us by phone or email if you are interested or you need more information.

 

The following can also be booked, at an additional charge:

- Use of the kitchen, including glasses: £37

- Use of the meeting room adjacent of the theatre: £60

 

10% discount will be applied to charities, RBKC council employees and recurrent bookings (more than 5 consecutive bookings).

Kensington Central Library is just off Kensington High Street and is a short walk from High Street Kensington Station. There are a great many bus routes that go up and down the high street and there is a car park beneath the library itself.

Options

By Bus:Bus routes: 9, 23, 27, 28, 49 and 328 are on the high street adjacent to the library and 52, 70 and 452 are slightly further away on Kensington Church Street.

By Tube:High Street Kensington (District and Circle Lines) is five minutes from the library.

By Train:Kensington Olympia is at the other end of the high street.
